Ed Baehrend and Amie Marks met and began working together at Tucker Anthony, Inc. In 2002, when their firm was bought by the Royal Bank of Canada and merged with Dain Rauscher (RBC Dain), Ed and Amie formed a partnership (Baehrend Marks Partnership LLC), obtained their Principal Licenses (series 24), and joined Raymond James Financial Services as independent contractors. The lack of the requirement to sell proprietary products is what initially attracted them to Raymond James, and over 20 years later, they still believe RJFS is a perfect fit for their business.
